We had some extra fun in September when Grandma Jennifer and Grandpa Rex came for a visit. They were only here or a few days but we managed to fit in a lot of fun. They got here on Saturday and after hanging out around the house for a few hours we headed to a nearby apple orchard.
We got the hayrack ride all to ourselves and it was a lot of fun.
Oh dear.
It was a lot of fun watching Emry try the sour apple cider slushy. Her face made it seem like she didn't like it but she kept coming back for more.
Lots of books were read, inside and outside.
Saturday afternoon Brennan and his dad headed to Menards to get some supplies for painting our backyard swing and fire pit cover. Yay for getting projects done! Rex is always so good to do something like this for us while he is here.

Monday morning we headed to Wickiup Hill. It was a
beautiful day. Unfortunately, Emry was quite grumpy. I managed to get her to sleep in the carrier
just before it was time to go.

From Wickiup Hill we headed to the movies to see "Leap!". It was a cute movie and the kids were completely entranced. After that we got a late lunch/early dinner and then we went bowling! We packed it in! I was having a really good bowling game but as usual I choked by the end and Brennan ended up beating me. So frustrating!
Not pictured are all the yummy treats we ate and all the game nights we had. Thanks for coming to visit Rex and Jennifer! We miss you!
