Arizona, part 1

Two days after Christmas we piled in the car with my parents and headed down to Arizona. Twenty five hours in the car is a long time for anyone, but it is especially long with a two-year-old and a 6-week-old. They actually both did quite well on the drive. We drove straight through the night which helped.  The warm weather and fun with cousins were well worth the 25 hours in the car.

Jade and Ella got a new swing set for Christmas so there was lots of fun to be had right in the backyard.

Sunday night we also headed to the Mesa temple to see the Christmas lights. And we got a group shot! It's not the best picture but they are so rare I just had to share it.
Jade and Tatum could have stood in this exact spot looking at the fake sheep for hours. Literally.
Monday we headed to the nearby bird park to enjoy the weather and feed the ducks. Grandma and Papa rode bikes and pulled these two crazies and the rest of us drove. This trip may have convinced me that we need a bike trailer for this summer so I can ride with both of the kids while Brennan is gone.
Feeding the ducks.

Is it just me or is Mara looking like a rock star in this picture? Darn her.
Grandma decided it would be a good idea for the girls to dip their feet in the very chilly water. But then she turned her back and Tatum decided to dip her bum in it. Oops.

Tatum and Jade just knew Papa needed their help with the bike trailer. Those two crack me up.
