Gardens by the Bay

Last Saturday some friends from Church invited us to meet them at Gardens by the Bay. It was an absolutely gorgeous evening! We need to go back and check out the flower dome and the cloud forest sometime, maybe when we have visitors. (hint, hint) But this time we just walked around a bit, played at the splash pad and got some dinner.

Tatum wasn't feeling the greatest and was kind of a baby about the splash pad, but this guy loved it!

We had some satay for dinner which was delicious. And instead of an iced milo (chocolate milk) I got Tatum an iced dark chocolate and it was awesome! :)

As we were walking and enjoying the lovely weather after dinner we came across the beginning of a lion dance outside a restaurant. It was fun to see a little bit of one but now I really want to see a full one before the Chinese New Year has come and gone.

After we parted ways with our friends, who were so nice to invite us out and show us around a little bit, we started heading for our bus stop. Then I suddenly remembered the light show in the super tree grove and it was only 15 minutes until start time. I'm so glad I remembered because it was a really nice way to end the evening.

Oh these two, such twins.

The lights on the trees were set to music and it was really quite enjoyable. Beautiful night, mesmerized kids, it was perfect.
